EurAsian economic commission (EEC) does not understand the substance of Ukraine's proposal on cooperation by formula "3+1", but are ready to deepen cooperation anyway, trade minister of the EurAsian economic commission Andrey Slepnev told a briefing in Moscow.

"Until now we do not fully understand what the formula '3+1' means regarding the cooperation between Ukraine and Customs Union," Slepnev said.

At the same time, he underlined that EEC was more than eager to continue cooperation and informed that on November 28 in Moscow the first meeting of the coordination group on trade issues would take place with participation of minister Petro Poroshenko.

"Our goal is to remove barriers, improve technical regulations and provide more information about cooperation within Customs Union. We do want strengthen our ties," Slepnev said.

He reminded that Ukraine had applied to be an observer under EEC and the commission was considering this proposition, though the legal base does not provide for status of observers. "Nevertheless, we understand what you mean and we have nothing against it," he added.

The official is convinced that the less politics is involved the clearer formula of cooperation will appear.
