The State Customs Service of Ukraine annually documents 40 billion UAH benefits for import and implementation of agreements on free trade with individual countries, head of the State Customs Service Ihor Kaletnik told during a conference organized by the Taxpayers Association of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Recently, the Finance Minister has informed that there are annual 100 billion UAH of benefits within paying taxes. The customs annually documents 40 billion UAH from this amount, including preferences for imports of energy-saving technologies, medicines, etc.," he said.
According to Kaletnik, there is abuse in medicines importation, "which leads to the fact that the drugs price in Ukraine is higher than in Europe. However, we are actively fighting this phenomenon and will certainly win," Kaletnik concluded.
