The U.S. should conduct more focused policy concerning Ukraine, ex-foreign minister Volodymyr Ohryzko said at the 9th Assembly of the Ukraine-NATO Civic League, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the diplomat, "if we analyze what the U.S. officials say, the situation will not change - despite the "concern". The last four years showed a decrease in Washington’s attention to Ukraine".

Ohryzko added that the U.S. policy towards Ukraine should be more active and productive, to help it escape from Post-Soviet space. "It depends on our internal processes as well, but the U.S. could encourage democratic and other advanced processes. Unfortunately, their current help is not sufficient," he concluded.
