The implementation of the new Code of Criminal Procedure will be accompanied with improvement of the criminal justice system, Yanukovych said during the coordination meeting of the law enforcement officials, the President’s press service informs.
According to him, strengthening the material-technical base of the courts, law enforcement agencies, expert agencies, improving social welfare and protection of their employees are integral to the success of reforms in this field.
"This is one of the top priorities for the government, as the law enforcement agencies cannot effectively perform its duties without abovementioned points," Yanukovych said.
The President stressed that the state budget 2013 should provide funding for public policies aimed at creating a new criminal justice system.
