
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych insists on the need to fully fund programs for the treatment of HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis and hepatitis patients, as well as the infectious diseases prevention programs, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
"With the objective to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and to provide citizens with affordable health care, all patients should receive assistance in a timely manner. The authorities should take measures to prevent the interruption of treatment," he stressed.
Yanukovych said that government efforts should be focused on the implementation of key reforms, including healthcare reform, an important task of which is not only treatment but also prevention and early detection of diseases.
