Demarcation of border with Russia could bring Ukraine closer to the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Voloshyn told a briefing, ForUm correspondent informs.
"The demarcation of border with the Russian Federation is a direct step towards the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU. We believe that this step shows that the success of European integration is not possible without constructive and cooperative partnership with Russia. That is, Europe does not want a country in a bad relationship with Russia, as without cooperation with Russia we can not resolve the issues that are directly related to our tasks in European integration," he said.
The demarcation of the Ukrainian-Russian border is not just lines drawn on maps. It should be a guarantee of our sovereignty and reliable barrier to cross-border crime, drug trafficking and illegal migration.
