As of early November, Ukraine approved more than two thousand projects on targeted environmental (green) investments in 25 regions, head of the State Agency of Environmental Investments of Ukraine Vladyslav Yakubovsky said at the international forum GREEN MIND, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the official, Ukraine agreed with Japan on 500 projects in 24 regions worth 3.7 billion UAH on the expected annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 113.7 tons of CO2-equivalent.

He said that the large-scale projects using the Japanese technology include the construction of facilities to clean mine water at Voykova mine in Sverdlovsk of Luhansk region (96.5 million UAH), reconstruction of the boiler block № 165 with the introduction of heat pumps in Dzerzhynsk town of Donetsk region (62.3 million UAH), project for the comprehensive modernization of carriages at the Kyiv Metro (985 million UAH) and so on.
