"The equipment of the prejudicial inquiry bodies requires additional funding. The Cabinet of Ministers has increased expenditure of the Interior Ministry only by four million hryvnia in 2012. Partial purchase of appropriate technical means for 72.6 million hryvnia is already being conducted through the Ministry’s own redistribution process. The necessary increase in expenses for the Interior Ministry is 980.5 million hryvnia for 2013," he said.
At the same time Zakharchenko noted that the Ministry has done a lot of preparatory work and now the internal affairs officers are ready to work according to the new Code of Criminal Procedure.
