The Interior Ministry initiated 86 criminal cases on violations at the parliamentary elections, Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka told a briefing on Monday.

Pshonka added that these cases were initiated not on violations of the electoral process, but on the facts of vandalism, theft and damage to property and other common crimes against the subjects of the electoral process.

As a reminder, nine criminal cases were initiated by prosecutor’s offices on violations of electoral law.
