The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in cooperation with the border guards and customs officers blocked the international channel for the delivery of cocaine to Ukraine.

As the SBU press service informs, 40-year-old resident of Kyiv, a lawyer, a former soldier, has established drug trafficking by road from the Baltic countries. His accomplices - 43-year-old citizen of the countries of the Caucasus, and 44-year-old female Ukrainian sold cocaine in the capital and in Kyiv region.

The SBU officers detained a car that followed in Kyiv on the Ukrainian-Polish border in checkpoint "Yagodyn". During the customs inspection, 1 kg 700 grams of cocaine was found under the car panel. The estimated cost of the drug on the "black" market is 350 thousand U.S. dollars.
As a result of searches of apartments in Kyiv, investigators seized another 10 kilograms of marijuana and 50 grams of cocaine.

The investigators initiated criminal case under Part 3 of the Article 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine against the organizer (Smuggling of narcotics, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors).

The criminal case under Part 2 of the Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was initiated against his accomplices.
