
Newly re-elected President Barack Obama congratulated President Bronislaw Komorowski on the Independence Day in a phone conversation. Among other issues, the parties raised the issue of Ukraine's European prospects after the parliamentary elections, press secretary of the President of Poland Joanna Tshaska-Wieczorek told TVN24 Polish TV channel.
"The Presidents also discussed military cooperation, economic cooperation, and the current situation in Ukraine after the elections," Tshaska-Wieczorek said.
Minister of the Office of the President of Poland Jaromir Sokolowski confirmed that the Presidents discussed "prospect of rapprochement between Ukraine and the West after the parliamentary elections."
