If Ukraine joins the Customs Union, the energy price for our country will be reduced to the level of Russian domestic price, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's First Department of CIS Countries Mikhail Yevdokimov said at a Friday briefing in Moscow.
"This is not something new. Export duties are canceled within the Customs Union. Accordingly, the gas price for the countries of the Customs Union is much lower. It will not be a special discount for Ukraine, it is an objective fact of membership to the Customs Union," Evdokimov said.
He stressed that the terms and conditions are the same for any economic operator in the CU.
Evdokimov said that any state after joining the Customs Union will get the same terms as the Kazakh, Russian and Belarusian companies have now.
Currently, the Customs Union include Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
