The Central Election Commission (CEC) will call repeat elections in five single-seat constituencies only after the Verkhovna Rada adopts a respective law and the Cabinet of Ministers determines the amount of funding for these elections, CEC member Mykhailo Okhendovsky said.

"The situation is currently completely resolved for the CEC. There are currently no grounds in the law on parliamentary elections to take a decision to call repeat elections and set a date for their holding," he said.

Okhendovsky also said that the CEC had "asked the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers to take the decisions that are needed for the calling of repeat elections."
