There is currently no reason for the devaluation of the hryvnia and the price increase, spokesman of Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov Vitaliy Lukianenko told journalists commenting on the situation in the foreign exchange market of Ukraine.
"The government is in constant contact with the National Bank, closely monitors the situation (in the currency market) and keeps it under control. There are no grounds for any exchange rate fluctuations," Lukianenko said.
Lukianenko also stressed that there are no reasons to increase the prices for food and commodities.
