MPs pass bill on agricultural bonds

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed the bill on agricultural bonds in the second reading.
The corresponding bill was supported by 235 MPS.

The bill introduces the possibility for economic agents to use bonds in their agricultural activities. The bonds are to serve as documents of title, formalizing the obligations of the debtor, secured by a pledge of future crops and farm animals.

The pledge size should be at least as large as commitments under agricultural bond and pledge conditions shall provide for the lender to get the property collateral.
