Speaker's candidacy will be discussed by the next convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We have already determined how the Parliament of the next convocation will be formed, how single-mandate deputies will enter the factions or form groups and we have confirmed the speaker is to be elected by open majority in session hall. Speaker's candidacy will be discussed by the next convocation," Yefremov said.

According to him, the size of the parliamentary group will be determined by the minimum number of factions’ members, that is, it will be about 28-30 people.

"The single-mandate deputies will also have the right to head the committee. If they form a group, they will have the same rights as other MPs. The same goes for the preparatory group. The single-mandate deputies and parties have the same quota – 15 people. I think, everything is fair," he said.
