The Central Election Commission asks the Parliament to appoint repeat elections in some single-member districts.

The relevant decision was taken at a meeting of the CEC, ForUm correspondent reported.

In particular, head of the Central Election Commission Volodymyr Shapoval said that it is impossible to establish the exact voting results in the single-number districts № 94, 132, 194, 197 and 223.

According to him, under the law on the Central Election Commission, if the CEC knows about a violation of the Ukrainian legislation on elections, electoral rights by inspections or from the media or other sources, the commission has a right to consider the issue on its own initiative and take the decision in accordance with the law.

Shapoval added that under the Constitution the people are the bearer of sovereignty.

This resolution was adopted unanimously.

The CEC appealed to the Parliament to appoint repeat elections in these districts.
