Representatives of the majority of parliamentary factions are ready to consider issue of violations and fraud during elections, the Parliament’s speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn said during the Conciliation Council of the faction leaders and chairmen of the parliamentary committees, ForUm correspondent reports.

In particular, he noted that the draft resolution on the investigation of falsification should be considered without prejudice.

"In case the transitional Parliament’s investigation committee for violations during the election campaign is created, it should be headed by an impartial person," he said.

Lytvyn instructed deputy speaker Adam Martyniuk and heads of relevant committees to consider the draft regulations for the committee registration.

At the same time, he stressed that the draft does not provide for imperative norms.
In particular, it states that the persons involved in the fraud shall be punished with imprisonment for a term of six years.

The issue should be dealt with by representatives of the GPO, the Interior Ministry, the Security Service. In addition, a five-pages list of forgers’ names, including heads of regional administrations, members of commissions, law enforcement officers, is attached to the draft regulations.
