Ukrzaliznytsia will return to the practice of personalized railway tickets to prevent speculation, deputy Prime Minister, infrastructure minister Borys Kolesnikov told reporters.

According to him, Ukrzaliznytsya and the Infrastructure Ministry are receiving thousands of letters from passengers who request to introduce the personalized tickets.

In addition, Kolesnikov noted that they found out speculation by employees of railway stations including cashiers and conductors. "We have examined one train, and 90 out of 120 passengers were without tickets. The railway stations work for passengers, so no speculation can be. This is important for us," deputy Prime Minister stressed.

Kolesnikov said that a traveler will have to present an identifying document in order to buy a ticket (domestic or foreign passport, driver's license, military ID, student ID and so on).
