In 5 years, Kyiv will build the first ring road on concession basis, which will connect the Stolychny and Boryspil highways, head of the State agency for investment and national projects of Ukraine Vladyslav Kaskiv told journalists during the presentation of results of the national project "Air express: The city ring road," ForUm correspondent reports.
"This is the first project, when the infrastructure in Ukraine will develop not on the state funds, but on private investments," he said.
According to Kaskiv, the project price was cut in half. Instead of the expected 1 billion euro, it will cost 428 million euro.
In turn, head of the company "Invest Ukraine" Serhiy Yevtushenko believes that this project solves an important municipal program, and it will be possible to receive a basic income from the road users including the transit and transport companies, but not from the taxpayers.
