"On the last few days the Internet is full of information regarding the unfounded accusations of law enforcement officers: that police officers do not allow participants of the election process, observers and journalists enter the district election commission Kyiv," the statement says.
The press service of the Kyiv department states said that internal affairs officers who are on duty at polling stations only ensure protection of public order in the premises of the DECs. "Law enforcement can enter the room, where the vote counting occurs, only on the invitation of chairman, deputy chairman or secretary of a commission or on the proposal of the commission members to restore the public order," the press service emphasizes.
Kyiv police calls on all participants in the race to defend their rights exclusively in the legal field, not to make various provocations, not to violate public order.
