Outside interference in the work of information-analytical system "Elections of People's Deputies of Ukraine" is impossible, the press service of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (Gosspetssvyazi) states.

The statement informs that in the information-analytical system "Elections of People's Deputies of Ukraine", through which the information on the vote count from district election commissions is obtained, is protected by a complex system of information security (CSIS). "The system has passed the state examination, the results of which gave a positive expert opinion of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Special Systems".

In addition, the statement notes that "the created CSIS reliably protects the information in the information-analytical system in accordance with the regulations, making impossible any outside interference and ensures the integrity and availability of information resources.
 
Moreover, the press service informs that on October 28, 2012 at 4.04 p.m., "geographically distributed DdoS attack at the official web-site of President of Ukraine and the official website of the Central Election Commission" began. "The highest attack power was 62 Mbit / s. Geography of attack was as follows: 64% - from Ukraine, 31% - from the Asia-Pacific region," the statement reads.
The Gosspetssvyazi notes that during the day of October 28, "there were more than 2340 network attacks, the successful implementation of which could lead to a breach of the integrity and reliability of the information published on the official web-site of President of Ukraine and the official website of the Central Election Commission."

"The threat was successfully localized and blocked by the specialists of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine," the statement informs.
