Preliminary election results from electronic protocols will be known on Wednesday, chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine Volodymyr Shapoval announced to journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, today the preliminary results show that the five per cent threshold in all regions of Ukraine is overcome by five political forces. "The numbers are an objective thing and any judgments are probably possible, but it is not the business of the CEC members or the CEC head to make these judgments," he said.
Shapoval also recalled that the official results of the election shall be determined on the basis of reports with wet stamps.
He also assured that the CEC will not delay the publication of the official results. As for the protocols with wet stamps, Shapoval predicts that the first representatives of district election commissions with the documents will start to come to the CEC in this evening, towards the end of the day or tomorrow. "But most likely it will be tomorrow morning," Shapoval concluded.
