The Central Election Commission addressed the Interior Ministry with the request to institute criminal proceedings against the black PR experts, the CEC deputy chairman Zhanna Usenko-Chorna told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.

"There are cases of outright cynical manipulation of the voters in order to mislead them, and thus influence their choice. In particular, very cynical cases of black propaganda happened in Kyiv and Luhansk regions. Fake message about some of the candidates were printed," she said.

In particular, Usenko-Chorna informed that a fake message about withdrawal of a candidate from elections was made public within constituency # 97 (Kyiv region). It referred to the relevant decision of the CEC allegedly signed by the deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission Andriy Mahera.

"Far more brutal act took place in Luhansk region: messages about the death of a candidate were posted, also referring to the decision of the CEC (on the withdrawal from the elections - Ed.),"  she said.

"The CEC will address the law enforcement agencies with the request to initiate criminal proceedings in these cases. I believe all my colleagues will do their best to identify the perpetrators - not only artists, but also customers, so that in the future, there is no desire to hold such manipulation with the minds of our citizens," the CEC deputy chairman summed up.
