Ukrainian businessman, MP Rinat Akhmetov has voted at a polling station in Donetsk during the regular Ukrainian parliamentary election.

"I’ve voted for the economic growth, the creation of new jobs, for the fight against poverty. I’ve voted for Ukraine to be a strong, independent and integral state. For our strength to be respected in Russia, the U.S. and the European Union. For our independence to be respected in the U.S., Russia and the European Union," he told journalists in Donetsk on Sunday after voting.

Akhmetov came to the polling station with his mother.
