The head of the Central Election Commission Volodymyr Shapoval predicts that voter turnout in these elections will be quite high.

At the same time, he noted that the preliminary statistics of turnout is not currently monitored.
"You know, if there is such monitoring, be sure someone would have said that the CEC oversees the voting. We can say (about turnout - Ed.,) in some time and these figures are relative. We have no means for effective and proper counting of turnout. Let's wait," he told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

However, Shapoval expressed his personal opinion, "it seems to me that the turnout in today's election will be quite high. Moreover, today is good weather".

He also said that he sees no problems with Ukraine's transition to winter time on Election Day.
"I personally take it positively - I managed to sleep for an hour more," he said.
