The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine approved the resolution on the state register of animals to keep records of farm animals in the form of an electronic database.
According to the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine press service, after the entry into force of the document, all farm animals will be given a standard document and assigned identification numbers within their species.
It is noted that the registry will indicate information about animals, not about the hosts.
The State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine reminded that the veterinary documents are necessary condition for budgetary subsidies for maintenance of young cattle. In addition, control of livestock is necessary to ensure safe epizootic situation in the country.
