Ukrainian women increasingly delay motherhood for the future, main doctors of Ukraine told a press conference at the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Life begins with love," ForUm correspondent reports.

According to doctor of medical sciences, professor, head of the Department of obstetrical problems of extragenital pathology of the Institute for pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology of the National Academy for Sciences of Ukraine Yuliya Davydova, the age of women giving birth for the first time has increased. "We may have the same situation as in Europe and the USA, when women at the age of 35 start thinking about family and children," she said.

Davydova noted that today, every seventh Ukrainian women becomes a mother after 40 and every fifth after 35.

The doctor stressed that increase in maternal happens due to the globalization of the world and a desire of modern women to get the education and career.

Therefore, according to her, women, who decided to postpone a motherhood, should save their health, avoid abortion and bad habits.

Her colleague, obstetrician-gynecologist and expert on female infertility Nataliya Dankovych added that the age of 20-29 is the best to give birth to the first child.

In turn, expert on oocyte cryopreservation Elmira Ablyaeva announced today, the medicine can offer some variants to women who have decided to delay their motherhood for the future. "Life has its own problems, and the medicine has to solve them," she said.
