Volyn, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolayiv showed the best preparation for the heating season, minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Anatoliy Blyznyuk told a conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the minister, as of October 24, 100% of the housing stock and objects of the socio-cultural sphere were connected to the heat in 17 regions.
He added that the debts of public institutions for the consumption of utilities are growing. From the beginning of the year, these debts have risen by 153 million UAH, and as of October 1, they reached 253.6 million UAH. "The biggest debtors are the Defense Ministry (90.9 million UAH), Education Ministry (56.4 million UAH) and the Health Ministry (9.8 million UAH)," the official stressed.
