The greatest gas reserve since independence has been accumulated for the coming winter season in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The autumn field works are almost completed. Despite adverse weather conditions, it is one of the best years of yields since independence. The country has enough grain and vegetables. Communal services of Ukraine are fully prepared for the autumn-winter period. The biggest reserves of gas, coal and other fuels have been accumulated since the independence," Azarov said.

In addition, according to him, many boilers have been repaired.

"The country has stable prices, tariffs, currency. Even the huge flow of provocative statements made by our adversaries of the alleged hryvnia fall, the raise in prices and rates, cannot undermine the situation. Moreover, the economists are well aware of how difficult is to retain stability under provocations. But it (stability - Ed.) is retained. And it is an obvious fact," he said.
