The government should take necessary measures to ensure the right of access to justice and to guarantee their right to judicial protection, President Viktor Yanukovych gave appropriate instruction to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
According to the instruction, the government and the State Judicial Administration should provide information to the public about the location and powers of the courts, the order and timing of going to law, the procedural requirements and the required documents. It is also on familiarizing citizens with the basic service documents - in particular, by placing on the court information stands.
The instruction also provides for the accommodation of the entrance ramps and call buttons for easy access to those buildings and facilities of persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
The President also invited chairman of the State Judicial Administration Ruslan Kirilyuk and chairman of the Council of Judges of Ukraine Yaroslav Romanyuk develop and take action (using web resources of the judiciary) to raise legal awareness of citizens about court procedures on how to protect their rights and the functioning of the judicial system.
