The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine plans to deregister an agent for rodent control based on the zinc phosphate, deputy minister of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine Dmytro Mormyl said, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Three days ago, there was a round table concerning the banning of chemical agents struggling with rodents in agriculture based on the zinc phosphate, and a number of decisions were adopted. The ecology minister wrote a letter to the agricultural minister to rule out this agent from the registration of the use and sale by 2013," he noted.

According to Mormyl, if the Ministry notices that other agents are less harmful and dangerous to the environment, then by 2014, the agent based on zinc phosphate will be deregistered at all.
