At Olympic Games 2016 in Rio, Ukraine will be able to show better results than it did at the Olympic Games in London, participants of the III Sport Congress of Ukraine, being held in the Ukrainian House, believe.
Proper state policy, aimed at development of sport infrastructure, youth sport and support of investors into sport sector development, will guarantee the success.
Among one of the examples of successful sport projects, realized by investors, chairman of the State service for youth and sport of Ukraine Ravil Safiullin noted the sport club "Epicenter", sportsmen of which, namely boxers Oleksandr Usik, Oleksandr Gvozdyk and heavyweight Oleksiy Torokhtiy won two gold and one bronze medals at Olympiad 2012.
Speaking to the Congress, Galyna Gereta, the co-founder of the "Epicenter", deputy mayor of Kyiv and secretary of the Kyiv city council, noted that Ukrainian sport could hardly survive without sponsors.
"Ukraine lacks centers for professional training of sportsmen. In my opinion, sponsors should turn the eye to this very sector. Our company plans to construct three more modern sport complexes. I am sure there are people in Ukraine who could realize similar projects in their regions. It will promote Ukrainian sport and will let many talented people to find their way in life," she believes.
