Housing and communal services tariffs will certainly grow in Ukraine, director of the Regional Development, Construction Housing and Communal Services Ministry Project Management and Energy Efficiency department Stanislav Zakharov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Our Ministry and the committee on heat and water supply regulation, as well as the government as a whole clearly understand that it is impossible to raise tariffs to cost-recovery levels as the population is insolvent to pay them," he said.
Zakharov said there is real need for raising rates, but it should be done with corrective elements.
"For example, the minimum wage has increased, you may to slightly raise rates," he said.
