By the end of the year, the tariff for housing and utilities services may include the investment component, director of the Department of project management and energy efficiency in the field of life support of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Stanislav Zakharov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the director, the Department of project management is preparing investment programs which will be approved by the local authorities and will be transferred to the National Commission on the state regulation in markets for utilities services. After the adoption of this program, the investment component will be included in the tariff.
According to Zakharov, the percentage increase will depend on the program approved by the local authorities. In his view, the introduction of investment component in the tariff ensures energy savings.
At the same time, he noted that if the program is not carried out, the investment component will be cancelled, and the tariff will remain at the same level.
