Ukrainians, who will vote abroad, can apply for inclusion in the voter list until October 22, deputy foreign minister Andriy Olefirov told a press club meeting "Voting at overseas polling stations abroad", ForUm correspondent reports.

"This year, Ukrainians will vote in 77 countries at 116 stations. Polling stations are located at foreign diplomatic establishments: embassies, consulates and consulates general," the diplomat said.

According to him, at the end of September the CEC created overseas electoral commissions in these sites and before September 29 all 116 sites had a meeting, having taken the oath. The Foreign Ministers informed the CEC of that and then the preliminary voters lists were compiled and sent abroad.

"From now until October 22, the citizens of Ukraine can submit an application regardless of whether a person is under the consular registration or not, or he did not apply for inclusion in the state register of voters before," Olefirov said.

The reason for this, according to Olefirov, is legal or illegal residence of Ukrainians in another state.

As the official said, a statement shall be submitted to the state register, on all days including Saturdays and Sundays.

"Basing on the data we receive from overseas commissions and diplomatic institutions, information will be sent to the state register of voters and then the updated lists will be drawn up," the deputy minister said.

In general, more than 450 thousand citizens of Ukraine will vote at the overseas polling stations.
