The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the law on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on inheritance formalization.
As ForUm correspondent reports, the bill was supported by 288 MPs.
"It is too difficult and too burdensome for an heir, who lives in village to formalize the inheritance of the land, house or property because of the need to obtain many paid certificates, many trips to the notary in the district or regional center, attracting legal advisers, etc.," a memorandum says.
The purpose of the bill is the inclusion in legislation, particularly in the Civil Code and the law of Ukraine on notary such rules, which would endow a village, town councils with the right to formalize inheritance for rural heirs.
