
Deputy Interior Minister Viktor Ratushniak had the meeting with a delegation from the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), led by the head of the mission Audrey Glover. The meeting was dedicated to the ensurance of law and order during the election campaign in Ukraine in October 2012, the Interior Ministry press service informs.
During the meeting, Ratushniak informed participants about the main tasks of law enforcement agencies during the parliamentary elections in Ukraine and detailed the responsibilities entrusted to the police.
Representatives of the Interior Ministry and the OSCE discussed the procedure and review the status of appeals related to the electoral process.
The policeman assured that every single message from the participants of the electoral process is registered in the police and each of them, without exception, is checked.
Ratushniak also noted that since the beginning of the election campaign the Interior Ministry and all subordinate units have established operational headquarters, which will work around the clock.
"I assure you that the internal affairs authorities will take all necessary steps within the law to ensure the proper order within the electoral process," the deputy minister assured.

Ratushniak said that everyone can read the statistics about the electoral process on the Interior Ministry website. In addition, there is a departmental website heading "Election 2012", where the information on the work of the internal affairs bodies during the election campaign and preparations for the parliamentary elections is being posted.
