Military prosecutors started an inquiry into the death of three pilots in a Russian Black Sea Fleet plane crash in Ukraine.
Three people were killed and one seriously injured when a Russian military plane crashed onto a runway of an airfield belonging to the Russian Black Sea Fleet seaborne aviation in the village of Kacha, Crimea, during a training flight at 17.38 on October 12.

"In light of the crash, the Southern Military District's prosecutor's office is conducting an inquiry into the observance of the law on flight rules and preparations for flights," a spokesperson for the Main Military Prosecutor's Office told.

"Causes and circumstances of the incident are being looked into during the inquiry," he said.

"Prosecution response measures will be taken based on results of the inquiry," he added.

Kacha is a resort community in the western coast of the Crimean Peninsula. The area administratively belongs to Sevastopol City Council.
