Agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk and agriculture minister of Russia Nikolai Fedorov agreed on forming the interdepartmental information and consultation structure to coordinate marketing policies on the world grain market, the Agriculture Ministry of the Russian Federation informs following the tenth Ukraine-Russia Intergovernmental Committee Subcommittee on agroindustrial complex meeting held on October 12 under the chairmanship of the ministers.

"We and our Ukrainian colleagues have reached a preliminary agreement to jointly coordinate the marketing efforts on the global grain market," the statement says.

Agricultural minister of Russia also expressed confidence that the relations tested for decades will help the countries to enter the category of the key suppliers of agricultural products to world markets.

It is reported that the participants of the meeting noted the growth of agricultural products and foodstuffs bilateral trade. Thus, in 2011 the total volume of trade in this sector grew by 11% compared with 2010 and amounted to 2 billion 823.7 million dollars, of which 705.9 million dollars are the Russian part.
