Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov took part in the opening ceremony of the tenth anniversary of the Pokrov International Orthodox Film Festival, the press service of the Cabinet reports.
He noted that such activities are important to maintain the moral values. The Prime Minister stressed that in our time, we should support the best achievements with a significant educational value in the field of culture.
Azarov said that the government supports the development of culture. He recalled that the Cabinet recently approved the development concept of the Kultura channel.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the creators of the Orthodox films. He also wished the festival participants creative achievements and new ideas.
