In August, the real wage growth in annual terms amounted to 13.9%, in nominal terms - 14.1% (14.6% in July), the official website of the NBU reports.
Seasonally adjusted real wage index in August compared with the previous month increased by 1.5%. The amount of arrears of wages in August decreased by 3% to 956.1 million UAH compared with the previous month.
According to the NBU, the budget debt increased by 43.7%, and as of September 1, it amounted to 3.8 million UAH. Compared with September 1, 2011, the amount of arrears of wages decreased by 199.2 million UAH or 17.2%.
In addition, in August, the expenditures on pensions and financial aid increased by 11.4% up to 20.2 billion UAH compared with the corresponding month of 2011.
