The scale of the reforms, being conducted in recent years in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is striking, NATO Deputy Secretary General Ambassador Alexander Vershbow said during the meeting with the defense minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin in Brussels.
"The NATO leadership is impressed by ambitious plans to reform the Ukrainian army," the ambassador said and thanked the minister for the participation of Ukrainian troops in NATO peacekeeping operations.
"It is important to do more than ever before for the development of relations between Ukraine and NATO," the deputy secretary general said.
He also expressed his belief in the necessity for development of relations between Ukraine and the NATO at all levels.
