The Cabinet of Ministers approved the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Republic of Slovenia on the fight against crime.
The resolution was adopted on October 10, 2012.
The agreement was signed in October last year and its approval became the consistent step towards meeting commitments to fight crime, taken by Ukraine.
Provisions of the agreement are aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine and the Republic of Slovenia in the prevention, detection, investigation of crimes, in particular through the exchange of information in accordance with the national laws of both countries.
The document also provides for the maintenance of regular contacts between the competent authorities of Ukraine and the Republic of Slovenia at all levels.
The adoption of the resolution on the approval of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ggvernment of the Republic of Slovenia on cooperation in the fight against crime testifies the compliance by Ukraine with its commitments to the international community and also helps to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
