The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to reduce the standards for amount of vegetable fats in the Ukrainian milk and dairy products, minister of agrarian policy and food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Our task is to harmonize standards with the EU and the CIS countries. The first step has been taken, as we developed standards and handed over to the State Standard for approval. The second step has been also made, and at the Cabinet meeting, we discussed the draft law on milk and dairy products," he explained.

In addition, according to Prysyazhnyuk, the bill reduces the utilization rates of vegetable fats in milk from 75% to 50%.
