The new law "On agricultural insurance" allows to support farmers financially in difficult moments for them, head of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Oleksiy Lysytsia told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the expert, "2012 became a litmus test for most agricultural companies in Ukraine in terms of understanding that they cannot ensure a stable development of the national agricultural production without agricultural insurance. Especially, it relates to regions with high weather risk - south and east of the country."
He added that funds of the state budget-2012 should be used effectively. "The Ministry of Agricultural Policy and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) created all conditions to implement this law," Lysytsia summed up.
