The exhibition "Sculptor of the Baroque in Ukraine in the middle of XVIII century, Ioann Heorh Pinzel" will be held in the Louvre on November 21, 2012 - February 25, 2013, Mykhailo Kulinyak told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"This event will open Ukraine to the world. This is our pride, as Ukraine for the first time, not only during the years of independence, but also in the years before that, is exhibited in the Louvre," he said.
 


Among the most famous works of the master, which survived to the present day, there are three monumental sculptures (George, Leo, and Athanasius), six wooden figures in the side altar of the church in Monastyrysk town of Ukraine. Perhaps Pinzel was the author of stone statues on the facade of the town hall and figures on the bas-reliefs of the Holy Protection church in Buchach, framing of the church in Horodok town.
