The European Union reiterates the previously published information about the beginning of investigation into compliance of the EU member states with agreement on simplification of visa regime with Ukraine, EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström informs.
"Yes, we are talking with the member countries to assure that the agreement on simplification of visa regime with Ukraine is respected," she said.
So Malmström commented statement of Mission of Ukraine to the European Union Kostyantyn Eliseev that the EU has launched an investigation into violations of the visa issuance to Ukrainian citizens by some EU countries.
