Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers that Russia's claims to the Ukrainian producers of cheese are reasonable.
Azarov said that the quality of Ukrainian farmers’ products, including the cheese supplied to Russia, sometimes does not meet the standards and requirements of consumers.
"When we began to check, whether the claims are justified, it appears that some cheeses do not meet the required level of quality and that Russian and ours technical requirements for the product are exactly the same," Azarov said during working visit to Odesa.
He added that, in view of this "the implementation of a joint project with Russia to monitor compliance with quality standards has been initiated. And if during the joint control requirements are the same, how would the manufacturers claim? "
