Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers that the situation around the possible raising prices after the election is fanned by politicians.

"Yesterday I was paying a working visit to Odessa and I once again was asked about what would happen after the election with prices, tariffs and hryvnia. Such questions are becoming more frequent. It is clear that such a stir is deliberately fanned by irresponsible politicians," Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, such politicians have merely nothing to say to people during the election campaign.

"They deliberately mislead our citizens, scare that Ukraine will face mini-apocalypse, about to hryvnia collapse, the prices will soar up, utility tariffs will be raised. This is an attempt to undermine the hard-achieved stability in the country. Yesterday I answered all those questions. Our strategy is verified. With regards to price stability - the situation is fully under control. The consumer price index has risen by only 10% for 2.5 years," the PM said.
